A great addition to our Tuesday evening Yin classes! A 30 minute guided meditation each week prior to the Yin class. Meditation is a great compliment to your Yin practice as it helps create a calm, focused state of mind that is beneficial when dealing with the long holds involved in the Yin practice.

Whether young or old, more able-bodied or less able-bodied, a chair yin yoga practice offers the opportunity to attain all the benefits associated with a yoga practice. We will explore the intention of the practice including the target audience, review the foundational principles associated with a yin practice & explore chair yin postures broken down by the target area of the body.
Youth Yoga & Mindfulness

Our focus during these classes will be creating strategies for dealing with stress/anxiety, positive body image, and compassion towards self and others. It is so important for teens to learn how to manage stressful situations in all facets of their lives - school, sports, family and friends! Each week, students will be provided tools for mind-body awareness, simple breathing techniques, positive mindset strategies to increase self-confidence, all while improving strength and flexibility.

The science of happiness is the study of factors that contribute to an individual's sense of well-being, fulfillment, & happiness. It focuses on positive aspects of human behavior, emotions, & thoughts. Self-regulation techniques are methods that individuals can use to regulate their thoughts & emotions to achieve a sense of balance within the body. Mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, & yoga have been shown to help regulate bodily functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, & digestion.Join us for this 2 hour workshop and learn how you can incorporate these tactics into your daily life.
