Our focus during these classes will be creating strategies for dealing with stress/anxiety, positive body image, and compassion towards self and others. It is so important for teens to learn how to manage stressful situations in all facets of their lives - school, sports, family and friends! Each week, students will be provided tools for mind-body awareness, simple breathing techniques, positive mindset strategies to increase self-confidence, all while improving strength and flexibility.
Our Classes
We have something for everyone at Metta, our classes are suitable to all levels. The goal; get people to move and sweat and then ground and zen out. Using breath as the avenue to connect the mind to the body. All classes are heated, except pre-natal, kids & various workshops. Minimum age to attend hot yoga classes is 14 years old.
A class for everyone! An all levels hot yoga class balanced with breath, strength and flexibility.
Flow
This class will get you moving! A fun and challenging hot flow class where postures are linked fluidly with breath.
Vinyasa
Take it to the next level! Each warm Vinyasa class is unique, exploring layered sequencing to deepen your breath and challenge your practice.
Yin
Take it down a notch! Long, deep and supported holds to relax and restore, decompress joints and work through tension to improve mobility. Yin classes take place in a warm room.
Yang/Yin
Balance yourself out with the best of both worlds! The first part of this warm class brings a focus on breath, strength and flexibility; part 2, relax and restore with yin.
Community
A limited time offer, available only when teachers are fresh from training! A reduced-fee hot Metta class led by a teacher-in-training. Check online for updates.
Karma
Give back with us! Friday nights at 7:30PM, a by donation 60min hot Metta yoga class where all funds go to our charity of the month.
Prenatal
Join Jenn Vanderland for pre natal yoga with a focus on functional movement so you can improve your posture, and build strength and stability for an easier pregnancy. You will gain the tools you need to understand the changes in your body, and through movement, breath, and stillness you can begin to incorporate them into your body and your life. About Jenn- Jenn has taught hundreds of pregnant women how to move better and feel stronger and more confident in their changing bodies. She is a yoga teacher with 17 years of teaching experience, and has 3 of her own children. She is working towards becoming an Internationally Certified Yoga Therapist, certified Doula, and Childbirth Educator. She is passionate about birth, movement, community, and connection.

It focuses on positive aspects of human behavior, emotions, & thoughts. Self-regulation techniques are methods that individuals can use to regulate their thoughts & emotions to achieve a sense of balance within the body. Mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, & yoga have been shown to help regulate bodily functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, & digestion.Join us for this 2 hour workshop and learn how you can incorporate these tactics into your daily life.
